Retired CCSEA Members Run For School Board

Adams County Chapter 4 has four board of education seats open with three retired CCSEA members amoung the candidates running. Past chapter  4 President Richard Ford, along with current member Sally McIntosh and retired member Jeannette Lewis are all candidates for board positions.
Past Chapter President Richard Ford retired in 2000 with over 20 years of service. He is a graduate of Adams City High School. He has served on various committees and officers for CCSEA. President Ford still attends many union meetings and understands the concerns and challenges classified employees face.
Sally McIntosh is currently working part-time in the Grounds Department after retiring as a bus driver for the district.
Jeannette Lewis also worked as a bus driver for the district, for 3 and 12 years of her career. She then spent the next 21 years working as a secretary.
Along with the Adams 14, Brighton 27J, another Adams County School District, has a retired CCSEA member running unopposed for the board of education. Virginia Guzman retired from her job as a community liason and will be joining past member and classified supporter Lolly Sandoval on the Brighton 27J Board of Education.
Together We Can!

Together we can...what a great theme for our recent Classified School Employees Week across the state. It's an excellent reminder that we are ALL in this together!

Without our teams of classified employees working together with faculty and administration in every school building around the state, educating our children would be an impossible task. Give yourself, and the person next to you, a pat on the back... we are doing a hugely important job and we all deserve a little recognition. Thanks for all your hard work, and remember all year long that...

TOGETHER WE CAN!

Dear Fellow Classified:
If you believe as we do that IT'S TIME for classified professionals to be treated with respect for the work that we do, IT'S TIME that we stand together. IT'S TIME to believe in ourselves. IT'S TIME for classified professionals to look to each other for answers-for who better understands our needs, abilities, and professions. IT'S TIME for you to join with us. Together we can make a difference.

CCSEA Is A Family Affair
On July 26, 2003, the Boulder County Rodeo Parade had a new entry. The float represented the Colorado Classified Employees Association. There were more than 25 participant on the float. The theme of the parade was "Family Affair". The CCSEA float carried classified employees with their children or grandchildren. This certainly was a "Family Affair", with the participation of the St. Vrain Valley Chapter 9 classified  members and their families. Following the parade there was a picnic at Thompson's Park in Longmont. The day was filled with great fun for one and all. A special thanks goes out to Karen McKee and Sherri Sedlack for all their help.
